Create Glowing Buttons in Photoshop
1-6-08
Step 7:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your white polygon layer.

Step 8:
Now duplicate your white polygon layer then make a new layer and merge it with the white polygon layer. Then go to Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal.

Step 9:
Create a new layer and draw a white rounded rectangle, size 104×24 px. Under layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your white rounded rectangle layer. Then on the layers palette set the layers blending mode to Darken.

Step 10:
Now select the Horizontal Type Tool from the tools palette and set the font family to Eurostile, bold, 18 pt, strong and #BDE7EF color code. In a new text layer type your link on the tab. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Outer Glow and Stroke blending options.

Hello,
I’m having a little problem with step 9.
When I’m adding the Gradient Overlay to my Layer, it doesn’t show up. The created Rounded Rectangle shape remains white after I hit “OK”.
Do you have any sollution for this? I was really looking forward to use those awesome glowing button designs in my banner.
Please send me an e-mail or just post it here.
Thanks,
Niels

Hey Niels,
Thats an easy fix, just set the layers blending mode of that white rounded rectangle to Darken and it should show the result.
‘Blending Mode’ option is found on your Layers Palette.

Hello Sukh,
When you choose your rounded rectangle tool, you have to choose ‘fill pixels’ on the options palette located on top of your screen.

Salutations I was just coming the same conclusions (regarding nnial 2007 - salvatore iaconesi - del.icio.us poetry) Tuesday, and thought that shoes repair sole in relation to it was also a good topic to think about.
